Fab Find: Rent the Runway

So you've always wanted to wear a designer dress to your next big soiree, but the price tag deters this from happening.  Well, your wish can come true with this fabulous site I discovered called Rent the Runway.  A site by invitation only where you can rent a designer dress for a small rental fee, they send it to you to wear and you send it back!  Yes, you can wear a Badgley Mischka, a Diane Von Furstenberg, Herve Leger, Catherine Malandrino....the list goes on.....for a fraction of the retail price!  Rental fees run from $50 - $250 depending on the dress and designer.  They actually also offer a monthly pass for $350 which gives you access to unlimented rentals for the month or an annual pass for $900.  You keep the dress for 4 or 8 days.

Check it out for yourself at http://www.renttherunway.com/.  You'll be stylin' at your next wedding, gala or night on the town!

Not Your Typical Box of Chocolates

As Valentine's Day rapidly approaches, I was thinking that there had to be a way to give a box of chocolates in some unique fashion.  So I came across gorgeous artesenal chocolates by Anna Shea.  Beautiful handmade chocolates in a variety of flavors and designs....strawberry ganache, blood orange caramel, mint ganache, vanilla pineapple, honey lime chipotle - the flavor menu is plentiful...YUM.

They offer their chocolates in a pink heart shaped box in 2 sizes - meduim with 26 pieces or small with 8 pieces.

I think this is the perfect alternative to your typical Valentine's Day box of chocolates.  Oh and you know what else, they can customize favors for any occasion!! Enjoy!

Color of the Year: TURQUOISE

Earlier last month Pantone announce it's color of the year - Turquoise.  Fall in love with this color for your events.  I love pairing it with navy, plum, pale pink or white.  For an interesting twist and a retro look, you can even pair it with red.

And here is what Pantone had to say about it:

Turquoise, an inviting, luminous hue, is the color of the year for 2010. Combining the serene qualities of blue and the invigorating aspects of green, Turquoise evokes thoughts of soothing, tropical waters and a languorous, effective escape from the everyday troubles of the world, while at the same time restoring our sense of wellbeing.
